Terry and his wife, faithful donors to the WCA, tell us why they give to the cause of leadership development for the sake of the church:
Mama Maggie declared at the 2011 Summit – “When I touch a poor child, I am touching Jesus. When I listen to a poor child, I am listening to God’s heart beating for all humanity. We don’t choose where to be born, but we do choose either to be sinners or to be saints, to be nobody or to be heroes. If you want to be a hero, do what God wants you to do.”
My wife and I feel with our monthly gift to the Summit/WCA we are helping 160,000 leaders in 90 countries become heroes in their local churches and communities. We believe the Summit/WCA provides the training for the compound effect of great leadership, which in turn, is then used to fight poverty, apathy, corruption and persecution. We believe the local church is the hope of the world and these heroes efforts will lead to an “only God” moment in solving problems their church and community face. We believe those leaders live these words of Jesus found in Luke 9:23: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me”. – If you believe those words Jesus spoke, then we urge you not to miss out on this giving opportunity that can change the world, and touch lives that will be grateful for all of eternity.
Will you join Terry and his wife in supporting heroes around the world?
